Volatile Earth, Volatile Water, Volatile Fire, Volatile Life, and Volatile Air are used in many crafting professions in WoW Cataclysm, with several stacks often needed to level a profession to maximum level. While the fastest way to gathering these volatiles is always the auction house, here’s how you can acquire them while leveling and questing in order to help you save more of your gold.
The Vial of the Sands is a brand new flying mount in Cataclysm that transforms you into a dragon, with the added ability to give someone a ride. Wrath of the Lich King brought us the Mekgineer’s Chopper, and with Cataclysm comes the flying version! Being able to show off this amazing mount doesn’t come cheap, though. If you’ve got the gold and time to farm the materials (or more gold to buy some of them) then here’s a quick checklist for obtaining a Vial of the Sands mount.
After the Cataclysm, the Barrens of Kalimdor were ripped apart and divided into two new regions – the Northern Barrens, and the Southern Barrens. With the North and South Barrens split by a chasm full of lava, it’s a little bit trickier to make your way south than it was pre-Cataclysm, but it can easily be done if you know the right path to take.
Progressing through heroic dungeons in Cataclysm with a group of guildies can be rewarding when done with a well-rounded group. However, while you’re still learning the nuances of heroic dungeons, it can often be incredibly frustrating. Before you throw in the towel, here’s a few tips to keep in mind the next time your guild group experiences a wipe in heroic Stonecore, Grim Batol, Deadmines, or any of the other tricky instances.
Yesterday in part one, I outlined the first few steps you’ll need to take to get started crafting enchanting scrolls for a profit in World of Warcraft: Installing auction add-ons, running an AH scan, configuring your add-ons, clearing out your bags, and going shopping for materials. Now the real fun begins! It’s time to start making your scrolls and selling them for big profits on the WoW auction house!
In Making Gold Buying and Selling Enchanting Scrolls I gave a brief overview of some general principles involved in profiting with enchant scrolls on the World of Warcraft auction house. Here is a quick recap:
* Know your materials cost.
* Use add-ons to automate tasks.
* Sell high profit items.
* Buy out competition that’s priced far below crafting cost.
* Find more profitable items to add to your crafting list.
In today’s article I’m going to explain how to put these principles into practice. I’ll be outlining the step-by-step process I use when selling my own enchant scrolls on the Auction House.
As your guild enters into the Firelands raiding tier, you will want the best enchants possible in order for everyone in the raid. Maelstrom crystals are a necessity for many high-level enchanting formulas, and are also used to companion pets with Enchanting! If you’re not keen on spending a lot of gold on the auction house to obtain these maelstrom crystals, here’s a few places you can farm them with time instead of money (assuming you’re an enchanter.)
Especially through the first 80 levels, leveling up in World of Warcraft has never been a quicker process. Between guild perks, heirlooms, gathering XP, and Recruit-A-Friend XP bonuses, leveling to 80 can now be reduced to a taking couple of weeks instead of several months! Because of this quick leveling, often you may find that your gear becomes quickly outdated. Here’s a few easy ways to pick up armor and weapon upgrades as you level, without too much trouble!
With the introduction of guild perks and the guild finder tool, the way World of Warcraft players both seek out a guild, and seek more members for their existing guild has forever changed. Applying for a guild using the guild finder is as simple as clicking a button, but there’s a lot more consideration to be made in choosing the right WoW guild that’s a good fit for you!
Leveling a death knight has the unique advantage of allowing you to skip over most of vanilla WoW. Upon completing the introductory quest line in the Eastern Plaguelands, you will reach level 57 – and quite possibly 58 if you have any XP gaining buffs (heirlooms or guild perks.) After you’ve finished your death knight quests, here’s a guide to where you’ll be headed next!
