Subject: tournament report

After reading many words of inspiration, I decided to play burn in a local
extended tournament. I expected some burn, some high tide, anything random. 9
people showed up for the 4-round-of-swiss tournament, a few less than usual.

"Stupid Burn"
4 lightning bolt

4 incinerate
4 fireblast
4 mogg fanatic
4 goblin raider
4 goblin lackey
4 mogg flunkies
4 goblin patrol
4 goblin grenade
16 mountain

sideboard- 6 blasts, 2 spellshock, 3 wasteland, 4 jackal pup.

Round 1 vs Mattie (high tide)
When making this deck I took high tide into account as the #1 deck to beat.
Lucky for me I get to play one first round. Game 1 is a mad rush as I keep
playing goblins and burn and he cannot do anything. Game 2 I side in all the
blasts and jackal pups. I run over him game 2 and 3 again. Game 3 he almost
went off but got a shitty draw from the spiral and took massive burn.

3-0 games


Round 2 vs Matt S. (draw-go)
I play some goblins, attack, play some stuff which gets countered, keep
attacking, he taps out to play disk I burn him to death. same sideboard as
other match, an easy win.

6-0 games.

Round 3 vs Thiago (high tide)
Yay I get to play high tide again. Thiago does not go off any of the three
games and I do the same thing as I did to mattie.

9-0 games.  I AM INVINCIBLE.

Round 4 vs Rob (sligh)
He has scrolls and ball lightnings. I do not. I almost have enough to burn him
to death game 1 but i keep drawing land for 5 turns and get burned myself, and
scrolled. Game 2 I get one land and have him down to incinerate fireblast
range. Unfortunately for 10 turns i still only have one land and lose. Game 3
everything goes smoothly and I win. (no sideboard was necessary)

10-2 games. I take first place (6 packs) me and Dan pack war, I win first, he
wins second, he wins third. we both take home one foil each.
